EPL Round 13 Predictions

Posted by Biggy and Chamo on November 17, 2009  •  Comments

We have to post this a bit earlier than usual, so we hope you all find this even if it gets smothered by the mass of posts Chamo is dumping at the last minute before he leaves for Phoenix for the rest of the week, but the predicts must go on! Biggy returned, to form, and Chamo floundered a bit, but no one got close to touching the impressive display our reader Brett put in. 3 correct scorelines is a feat in its own Brett, keep up the good work!

Biggy:

Chamo fancies himself a runaway champion, which is marvelous because as you can see, his thoughts have already gotten to his head and he has clanged his picks last time around just like he generally clangs it off the bar when he is in front of goal unmarked. Yours truly had a nifty little run, including nailing the draw that pathetic Pool ended up with. Certainly they didn't even deserve to draw, so Kev keep your chin up, 7th is better then 8th. More injury news for another in form striker leaves Arsenal without RVP and scrambling for forwards, however the old 4-6-0 formation with Diaby and Arshavin might do them wonders as well. Who keeps rolling this week? Hopefully me.

Liverpool 2:2 Man City  Pool looks bad. City can't win, but don't seem to lose either. What a perfect result for two teams that have struggled in the last month in a major way.

Birmingham 1:2 Fulham  Fulham seem to have regained the form that got them accolades and Euro ballin last year, can they get all three on the road? Kamara and Dempsey say yes.

Burnley 1:3 Aston Villa  Villans seem to be the new Arsenal, scoring goals in bunches. The offensive power they are packing is legit, and if Carew is back for more then a week they can continue this torrid goalscoring form.

Chelsea 2:0 Wolves  Hmm, Chelsea is good, Wolves are not. The end.

Hull City 1:1 West Ham  The Hammers are the best worst team ever. They look good and then blow it. Like they do late against Ull Citay. Sorry Ham, at some point you are no longer good, just overrated.

Sunderland 2:3 Arsenal  Who doesn't like goals? Not these two sides, who find themselves forgetting what defense looks like. Good thing Arsenal plays Fab all the time, because again when he sees ninety he makes something happen.

Man United 1:1 Everton  At some point, United will show their true colors. The real question is what colors are they. A desperately needed rest helps a very much injured Everton side who have Tim Howard who makes 28 saves, all in spite. Oops United, don't mess with the wrath of Timmy.

Bolton 1:0 Blackburn
Watching this game is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Although, ESPN is probably showing it, you know, just because.

Tottenham 3:1 Wigan  Both of these teams seem to be pretenders on the road, meaning that the home Spurs have it in the bag. Plus they play well against the bottom half and no one else.

Stoke 2:1 Portsmouth  Pompey has found a spark. Unfortunately, they dropped it and it ran away as fast as possible. Stoke is good at home, and won't give up gimme points.

Hull City 0:1 Everton
And Hull regresses again. Bummer. Can't win em all Hull, or really any of them.

Fulham 2:0 Blackburn  Again, the Cottage is a tough place to play against an in form Cottagers side. Blackburn has been quite inconsistent, and that does them in on this day.

Chamo:

Alright, so I got a bit cocky and it came back to bite me in the ass. Biggy returned and had a decent week, but I will not back down from my Title call as I still feel I am in a dominating position to hold my lead down the stretch. 12 games this week, I'll be fine.

Liverpool 2:3 Man City  Liverpool gets some healthy returners, but that doesn't alter the fact they are struggling. Manchester City hasn't exactly performed either recently, but if Birmingham can get a point at Anfield, City can get all three.

Birmingham 1:1 Fulham Fulham are a squad of multiple personalities. Sometimes they are incredible and take teams like Liverpool to the sword. Other times they sit back and watch teams like Chelsea use them as their play thing. Fulham has always been worse on the road, but Birmingham has trouble finding the net.

Burnley 1:2 Aston Villa  A late Villa goal steals this one, as Burnley think they pulled a point from a very fast side. Burnley are emerging as one of my favorite teams, because they never back down from a challenge, especially at home. Not enough in this one though.

Chelsea 4:0 Wolves  Wolves. At the Bridge. If Drogba screws this one up for me YET AGAIN by scoring a 5th goal late in the match I will scream.

Hull City 0:2 West Ham  At this point I just want Hull to go away.

Sunderland 2:1 Arsenal  Where will the goals come from without RVP? Arsenal are a very potent side, but Eduardo flops more than Drogba does now and unless that gets Arsenal 4 penalties they will not win this game.

Man United 2:0 Everton  Biggy has faith in Howard, but even a week off doesn't save Everton from their woes. Rooney and Giggs score.

Bolton 1:2 Blackburn
Two words. Franco diSanto (it could technically be three, I have no real idea if you split up the di and Santo). Bolton are a large, powerful side, perfect for a large, powerful forward like diSanto to prove his worth.

Tottenham 2:0 Wigan While Fulham seem to have multiple personalities, Wigan are the Jekyll and Hyde team of the Premiership. How on Earth does a squad that man-handles Chelsea then procede to get annihilated by Portsmouth? Mind boggling.

Stoke 0:1 Portsmouth  Portsmouth have found some sort of relative stability and magically steal the points at Stoke. Doesn't take them out of the drop zone though...

Hull City 0:2 Everton
I seriously have to write something about Hull twice this week?

Fulham 2:1 Blackburn I may sound insane, but this is my match of the week. This has all the makings of a great match at the Cottage, with two teams that are battling for mid-table mediocrity.
