EPL Round 10 Predictions

After an enthralling week of Champions League football, we return to the grind of the Premiership. What better way to come back than to the ever brutal match between Liverpool and Manchester United? Not only is this a vital top-4 pairing, but it holds some significant weight as well. One more loss for Liverpool here would spell five straight for the Reds and could mean the end of Rafa's reign. It also puts them well beyond reach of top spot and in a vital struggle to even hold on for the coveted fourth position with the way Tottenham and Manchester City are going. Here's how we think things will play out:
Biggy:
Ah, Chamo skates by again somehow managing to nail two games head on. If only we could all be this lucky. Too bad we cannot. Meanwhile, he rambles and talks trash while playing FIFA10, which i do believe he owes the world a report on. Dear Chamo, get it together, and stop getting so lucky on your picks. Really. Off to the prem, where every time I think someone is going to lose, they do. However, because I expect them to lose, I don't pick them, and end up saying I told you so....to myself. Fun.
Wolves 0:2 Aston Villa Villa says what up to those in front of them and showed last week that they are the real deal. Dropping points at Wolves would cost them, but they have the skill and the will to get it done. Gabby and Milner put one away each, as Wolves continue a slow slide.
Birmingham 0:1 Sunderland The lack of beach balls don't hinder Sunderland, as they get another victory. The top four better watch out because Europa League might not be enough to satiate a team that has shown itself to be armed and dangerous. Hello world, Jones reminds you that Bent isn't the only one beasting up top for Thunder Sunder.
Burnley 1:0 Wigan Wigan is good at home. However they are attrocious on the road, and Burnley is tough at home. Is this the week Wigan becomes one team instead of two? Noooooooooooooooope.
Hull City 2:1 Portsmouth Really bad meet horrible. Hull wins because they are at home, and realize this game might be critical for their relegation dodging hopes. Don't let me down (again) Hull.
Tottenham 4:1 Stoke City To stamp their mark on the top four, Tottenham bags four. I don't see many teams beating them, especially not at home. Stoke does not make that list.
Chelsea 3:0 Blackburn Chelsea appears to have restarted the engine, and the goalscoring machine. Blackburn isn't really a challenge, just another blip on a title chase.
Bolton 0:1 Everton The Toffees seem to scrape by, and they do it again. And again. And at some point will get their act together. Thank goodness for teams like Bolton for Everton to get max points from.
Liverpool 1:1 Man United Liverpool strikes back, but can't hold on when United gets a late draw. Sir Alex complains, but Rafa puts him in his place. Someone needed to. Both teams struggle. Their fans finally see what I have seen all year.
Man City 2:1 Fulham City gets their stride back. Fulham gets a late equalizer that is erased by Ireland in stoppage time. City fans watch as their side move within striking distance of United.
West Ham 1:3 Arsenal The Midfield Attacking Juggernaut formerly know as the Arsenal light up a West Ham side that have been convincingly unconvincing. By far the best team ever with five points, this match will be Zola's second to last chance.
Chamo:
I managed a considerable haul last week, clearly stamping my authority as the mightier of the score predictors. Yet I feel that this week will be either feast or famine for me, as I can already see my opinionated nature will probably not go rewarded this week, with such interesting matchups. I want Rafa to get fired, just to add more misery to Liverpool, but I need United to drop points....
Wolves 1:2 Aston Villa I could just go off and say Villa is on form, but it is more than that. They are cohesive and there is very little that can beat a team that is comfortable with each other. Wolves have started to find their Prem legs, but still will struggle against a classy Villa squad. Carew and Abonglahor get their tallies.
Birmingham 0:2 Sunderland Let me just say it. Sunderland is a good squad. I would be surprised if they didn't make it to Europa next season, beacause at their current rate they could challenge for a top six spot. Birmingham have lost their last three matches and won't grab points at home against the Black Cats either. Bent scores once again, giving me even more fantasy points.
Burnley 1:1 Wigan Both of these teams are doing quite well for their expected results, and Burnley is a force to be reckoned with at home, but Wigan have just enough class in Rodaellga to pull a point on the road.
Hull City 1:1 Portsmouth Its the battle of the two worst teams in the Premiership, even if Hull are technically third worst and not second, I rate West Ham higher than the Tigers. This will be none other than a drab draw, and at least one of these goals is an own goal. What a bore.
Tottenham 4:1 Stoke City I keep giving Tottenham these outrageous scores because they seem to be the team that on the odd occasion scores more than three. At White Hart Lane Stoke has no chance, Crouch once Keane twice and a rare gem from Bassong adds to this one.
Chelsea 4:0 Blackburn I need Chelsea to win big and Chelsea need Chelsea to win big so there is really no better option than to demolish Rovers like they pushed aside Athletico midweek. Kalou adds to his two goal haul Wednesday with one more Saturday, as Anelka and Lampard twice round off a positive return to form.
Bolton 0:0 Everton There really isn't anything in this match. Its the thugs of Bolton against the never-healthy Toffees as at least 11 people are injured for Moyes. Nothing occurs, and it ends 0-0.
Liverpool 0:3 Manchester United I know I need Manchester to drop points, but Liverpool would struggle to beat Portsmouth at this rate and I really really want Rafa to get fired. What better way for this to occur than a drubbing at home in front of the Kop. Oh how I love it when he starts Lucas. Best part? Owen scores.
Manchester City 3:0 Fulham Poor Fulham. I really do want them to succeed, despite the London rivalry we are supposed to have with them. Still, they just don't have what it takes to go on the road all the way up North and deal with the new wealth. Even with their recent struggles City copes with the Cottagers challenge.
West Ham 1:1 Arsenal Wishful thinking? Potentially, but this great London matchup has all signs pointing to an upset of sorts. West Ham need a result, and a draw against the Gunners would be splendid.
